Progress of the information hour

I. Main part

Classroom teacher. Every year on March 8th we celebrate International Women's Day. Today we will get acquainted with the history of this holiday, interesting facts associated with it, and learn about the fates of some women who contributed to the history of the women's movement.

I want to give the floor to students who have information and facts from the history of the holiday.

Students who have prepared the information hour come out.

Student 1. Before we introduce you to information and interesting facts about the organization and celebration of International Women's Day, I would like to thank all the women for having this day on the calendar. You will ask why? Yes, because thanks to this day, World Men's Day appeared on the calendar, which is celebrated on November 1.

Student 2. Of course, this day did not appear without the intervention of women. In general, the history of women's holiday goes deep into antiquity, into the history of Persia. It was there, one might say, that the women's movement was born and sprouted.

Student Z. And this is how it happened. The Persian king Xerxes had a beloved wife, Esther. She came from an old Jewish family, but her husband did not know about it. Based on the denunciation of his entourage, King Xerxes wanted to exterminate all the Jews inhabiting the state. Queen Esther turned the royal decree against the Persians themselves, and in honor of her wisdom, a day was established in the Jewish calendar, which fell on the 13th day of Adar (this spring month does not have an exact date) and which began to be celebrated as the modern Jewish holiday of Purim, or Passover.

Student 4. The thing is that the tradition associated with Esther, the wife of King Xerxes, was continued by her descendants. The famous revolutionary and fighter for women's rights Clara Zetkin, speaking at an international women's conference in 1910, proclaimed the idea of annually celebrating March 8th as the birthday of the women's movement in the struggle for their rights. Clara Zetkin, who knew ancient history well, decided to perpetuate the feat of the Persian queen Esther, who, with her feminine wisdom, saved the Jewish people from extermination. In 1910, this day, March 8, was precisely the day of celebration of the holiday of Purim. That is why the spring holiday of March 8 is often associated with the celebration of Easter.

Classroom teacher. And yet, with what specific events is the desire of the women of the world to have their own holiday connected?

Student 1. I propose to restore the chronology of this holiday. That's how it was. In 1857, New York women who worked in textile factories marched through the streets of their hometown to protest low wages and appalling working conditions. Their initiative was supported by women in Europe.

Student 2. Thanks to these actions in New Zealand in 1867, female taxpayers received the right to vote in local elections, and in 1893 - in parliamentary elections.

Student Z. In 1869-1896. Women gained the right to vote in four American states: Wyoming, Colorado, Idaho and Utah.

Student 4. On March 8, 1908, at the call of the Social Democratic women's organization of New York, a rally was held with slogans about the equality of women.

Student 1. In 1909, the Socialist Party of America first declared National Women's Day, which was celebrated until 1913 on the last Sunday in February. In 1909 it was February 28th.

Student 2. In 1910, German socialist Clara Zetkin, during the Second International Socialist Women's Conference, held on August 27 in Copenhagen as part of the 8th Congress of the 2nd International, proposed establishing a day of struggle for women's rights.

Student Z. And on March 8, 1911, rallies were held in Australia, Germany, Switzerland, and Denmark demanding that women be given equal rights with men. This is how this day received international recognition.

Student 4. In 1912, the holiday was celebrated on May 12 in the same countries. In 1913, women rallied in Germany on March 12, and in Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Switzerland, and Holland on March 9, in France and Russia on March 2.

Classroom teacher. How did this day appear in the Russian calendar?

Student 1. In Russia, the celebration of March 8 has become a tradition since 1913. To this day, on this holiday, the entire female population of our country, regardless of age, education, religion, receives congratulations from men.

Student 2. In 1917, on February 23, old style, or March 8, new style, women’s demonstrations with the slogans “Bread and Peace!” took place in Petrograd; the next day, workers of the Putilov plant joined the strike, and clashes with the police began. And on February 27, a general labor strike escalated into an armed uprising.

Student Z. In July 1917, the Provisional Government announced that the right to participate in elections to the Constituent Assembly belonged to all Russian citizens of both sexes who had reached 20 years of age by the time of the elections. However, the issue was not limited to voting rights. The Constitution of the RSFSR of 1918 includes an article on full equality of women and men.

Student 4. In 1918-1919 women received the right to vote in Germany, Austria, Hungary, the Netherlands, Canada, Poland, Sweden, Luxembourg, Czechoslovakia, and in 1920 in the United States.

Student 1. However, I would like to note that during the First World War, the day of the struggle for women's rights was not celebrated.

Student 2. In 1921, by decision of the 2nd Communist Women's Conference, it was decided to celebrate March 8 in memory of the women's strike in St. Petersburg on March 8, 1917, which served as the beginning of the February Revolution.

Student 3. Starting from 1966, in accordance with the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of May 8, 1965, March 8 became a holiday and a non-working day.

In the USSR, this day ceased to be a political holiday, it became the day of all women.

Student 4. Since 1975, the UN, in connection with the International Women's Year, has declared March 8 as International Women's Day.

Student 1. In 1977, the UN General Assembly invited states to declare, in accordance with their traditions and customs, any day of the year as Women's Rights and International Peace Day. This decision was taken in connection with the International Women's Year, as well as the International Women's Decade, which took place from 1976 to 1985.

Student 2. Currently, events dedicated to the Day of the Fight for Women's Rights and International Peace are timed by the UN to coincide with March 8th.

Classroom teacher. Deciding to start fighting for women's rights is not something everyone will do. Who were these women who led the women's movement? Can you talk about this?

Students talk about the founder of the women's movement, Clara Zetkin. The story is accompanied by a presentation.

Student 1. Speaking about the struggle of women for their rights, it is necessary to say about Clara Zetkin, or Clara Eissner, whose name in modern history is mentioned extremely harshly or not mentioned at all.

Student 2. Clara Eissner was born in the city of Widerau, which is located in the German Saxony, in the family of a teacher. She received her education at a private pedagogical educational institution in Leipzig, where she became close to a circle of Russian revolutionary emigrant students, including her future husband Osip Zetkin.

Student 3. Participating in the labor and women's movements, she joined the Socialist Workers' Party, which from 1890 was called the Social Democratic Party of Germany. Then there was forced emigration, first to Zurich, then to Paris.

It was there that she played an important role in the founding of the 2nd International and prepared a speech for its Founding Congress on the role of women in the revolutionary struggle.

Student 4. At the height of her revolutionary struggle, she married Osip Zetkin, and from that time on she bore her husband’s surname. Only in 1890 was Zetkin able to return to Germany. In her homeland, she directed all her strength to the fight for equal rights for women.

Along with theoretical discussions, Zetkin practically participated in the struggle for the easing of labor laws for women and the provision of universal suffrage.

Student 1. From 1891 to 1917 she edited the German Social Democratic Party's newspaper for women, Equality. It was at this time that she turned the Social Democratic women's movement in Germany into one of the strongest in Europe. Beginning in 1907, she headed the women's department created under the SPD.

Student 2. During World War I, Clara Zetkin, along with other representatives of the radical wing of the Social Democratic Party of Germany, condemned the government's provision of loans for the war. She was one of the organizers of the anti-war conference in Berlin in 1915 and was repeatedly arrested for her speeches against the imperialist war.

Student 3. Clara Zetkin was a member of the Spartak Union, on the basis of which the Communist Party of Germany was founded on December 31, 1918 - January 1, 1919.

In 1920-1933, throughout the existence of the Weimar Republic, the German revolutionary represented the Communist Party in the German Reichstag.

From 1919 to 1929 she was a member of the Central Committee of the KKE. At the same time, she was involved in the Executive Committee of the Comintern, headed its International Women's Secretariat, as well as the International Organization for Assistance to Revolutionary Fighters, created in 1922.

Student 4. From the moment of its emergence, Clara Zetkin sharply condemned fascism. In 1932, while presiding over the Reichstag, she issued an appeal to resist Nazism by all means. After the Reichstag fire and Hitler's rise to power, left-wing parties in Germany were banned, Zetkin went into exile for the last time, this time to the Soviet Union.

Student 1. Few people today know that she died in 1933 in Arkhangelskoye near Moscow. After her death she was cremated and her ashes were placed in an urn in the Kremlin wall on Red Square in Moscow.

Student 2. At one time, a postage stamp dedicated to Clara Zetkin was issued in Germany, and streets in Russian cities were named after her.

Student 3. It is interesting that Clara Zetkin gave her two sons Russian names - Maxim and Konstantin.

Student 4. She loved our country very much, which became a refuge for her after her exile. Living in Arkhangelskoye, she looked after roses and communicated a lot with delegations of women who approached her on issues of the women's movement.

Classroom teacher. Imagine that, perhaps, without this woman, the issues of the women's movement would not have been resolved for a long time not only in our country, but also in many countries of the world. Which other famous women were women's rights activists?

The second group comes out, which was preparing a story and presentation about Dolores Ibarruri.

Student 1. This woman could become famous only thanks to one phrase she said, which speaks about her character, attitude towards life, herself and people.

Student 2. It was she who said: “It is better to die standing than to live on your knees.”

Student 3. Dolores Ibarruri, Passionaria - in Spanish “fiery”, “passion flower”. She was born in Spain. Dolores Ibarruri was a prominent figure in the Spanish and international labor movement, the leader of the Spanish communists, and an active participant in the republican movement during the Spanish Civil War in 1936-1939.

Student 4. For a long time she lived in the Soviet Union, and in 1960 she even received Soviet citizenship.

Student 1. Her only son Ruben participated in the Great Patriotic War and died at Stalingrad in 1942, defending our country from the Nazis.

Student 2. From 1942 to 1960, Dolores Ibarruri was the general secretary of the Communist Party of Spain, and from 1960 until the end of her life, she was its chairman.

Student 3. She returned to her native Spain only in 1977 under King Juan Carlos and was elected to the Spanish parliament.

Student 4. Short lines of biography, behind which there is a long and very complex life. Her autobiographical book “The Only Way” has been translated into Russian, French, Italian, German, English and other languages. Her autobiography “No pasaran” (“They will not pass”), published in 1966, is also known.

Dolores Ibárruri, one of the founders of the International Democratic Federation of Women, took an active part in the international democratic women's movement.

Student 1. She is a laureate of the International Lenin Prize “For Strengthening Peace Between Nations.” Professor at Moscow State University. A street in Yekaterinburg is named after her.

Classroom teacher. Women have always fought for their rights and knew how to defend them. Even looking into myths and legends, we will get acquainted with representatives of the fair sex who tirelessly fight for their rights. It is not surprising that many mythological figures are feminine.

Let's get to know them and try to guess what mythological character we are talking about.

Students come out with drawings that are not shown until the guys guess and name the mythological character.

Student 1. Let's start with the simplest. Let me introduce you to a representative of mythology who is a fighter for her rights and can sometimes come to the rescue in a difficult life situation. So, the first character.

Forest old woman-sorceress, witch, sorceress. A character in fairy tales of Eastern and Western Slavs. She lives in the forest, in a hut on chicken legs. One of her legs is bone, she has poor vision, and flies around the world in a mortar. In most fairy tales, she is the hero’s opponent, but sometimes he is his helper and giver. (Baba Yaga.)

Student 2. Now the second character.

These are air maidens who protect people from ghouls. The Slavs believed that they lived near the house and protected the house and its inhabitants from evil spirits. Cheerful, playful and attractive creatures, singing enchanting songs with delightful voices. In early summer, under the moon, they dance in circles on the banks of reservoirs. Where they run and frolic, there the grass grows thicker and greener, and in the field the grain is born more abundantly. (Beregini.)

Student Z. Here's another character. According to ancient legends, a woman who sold her soul to the devil. In the south she is more attractive, often a young widow; in the north - an old woman, fat as a tub, with gray hair, bony hands and a huge blue nose.

She differs from other women in that she has a small tail and has the ability to fly through the air on a broom, poker, and mortar. He goes on his dark deeds without fail through a chimney, and can turn into different animals, most often a magpie, a pig, a dog and a yellow cat. Along with the month, he grows older and younger. A well-known gathering place for these women on Kupala Night is in Kyiv on Bald Mountain. (Witch.)

Student 4. But the task is more difficult. Slavic goddess of water. A fair-faced girl-river, murmuring her cheerful song. She will give a drink to a tired traveler, and wash a warrior’s wound, and, rising into the sky, she will fall as a blessed rain on the fields. She was revered as a bright and kind goddess, giving life to all living things. The names of the rivers come from her name - Dnieper, Dniester, Danube, Dvina, Donets. Her name is complex and consists of two syllables that mean “water” and “nenya” - “mother”. This goddess was given special honors during the Kupala holidays. (Dana.)

Student 1. And I want to offer another, no less famous character from children's fairy tales and fiction. In Slavic fairy tales, this is a wonderful bird that flies from the thirtieth kingdom. And this kingdom is a fabulously rich land that was dreamed of in ancient times. The color of this bird is golden, and it lives in a golden cage. It can be assumed that the bird is associated with other mythological characters: Rarog, the Fire Serpent. Sometimes in fairy tales this bird acts as a kidnapper. (Firebird.)

Student 2. Her name is mentioned in many poems and songs. She is the goddess of love, the patroness of the family, the hearth, the goddess of youth, beauty, and fertility. Femininity itself, tender, melodious, fair-haired, in white clothes, she will lead a guy to her sweetheart in a round dance on Kupala night, and will hide her stepdaughter from her evil stepmother under the branches when she gets ready to meet her boyfriend. In young families, the hearth supports: sometimes it is just smoldering, and she will throw a twig, wave her clothes - the hearth will flare up, touch the hearts of the foolish with warmth - and again there will be harmony in the family. (Lada.)

Student 3. It is named after one of the days of the week. This is a female deity, the patroness of Friday. He also favors youth games with songs and dances. Appears in white robes and guards wells. Where it is depicted on the board roofs, there is healing water. So that her grace would not dry up, in ancient times women secretly brought her a sacrifice - sheep's wool for an apron. In Belarus, the custom has been preserved of making her sculptures from wood and praying to her for rain on a dark night. (Paraskeva Friday, or Virgo-Pyatenka.)

Student 4. How many poems and songs are dedicated to this female image! She is the maiden of the waters, according to other legends - the wife of Vodyanoy.

This is a tall, beautiful girl who lives at the bottom of a pond. At night, she and her friends splash on the surface of the water, sit on a mill wheel, and dive. The maiden of the waters can tickle a passerby to death or take him away with her. As a rule, they become girls who drowned themselves from unhappy love or were drowned by their stepmothers. According to legends and legends, she can marry a man, but this marriage is always unsuccessful. (Mermaid.)

Student 1. This character of legends and tales associated with female images is the most popular in our time. And how many films are dedicated to him! She, according to some legends, is the daughter of Frost, according to others - his granddaughter. Kind, not as bad-tempered as Moroz. Sometimes in the summer he lives with people and helps them. (Snow Maiden.)

Classroom teacher. We are once again convinced that even in legends and tales the role of female images is great. They give life, save, help, protect, heal, pity and love.

What is life like for a woman today - our contemporary? What does he live on? What does he do? How does he solve professional and life issues?

Students come out and take a tour of a gallery of photographs of women who have achieved success in their professional lives.

The first group of students leaves.

Student 1. We decided to learn about the life and work of wonderful women in Russia and the world, who even today know and honor their International Women’s Day, which is included in the calendar of memorable dates. Thanks to them, women, fighters for peace and justice, life becomes better, kinder and cleaner.

Student 2. Here is one of those we wanted to talk about on the eve of International Women's Day.

Student 3. Marina Lavrentievna Popovich - lieutenant general of the Cossack troops.

Student 4. A woman who surprisingly organically fit into a traditionally male profession and was devoted to it all her life.

Student 1. So, we begin our story (opens the portrait of M.J1. Popovich).

Student 2. Who will believe that this woman is a pilot and general, screenwriter and director?

Student 3(accompanies the story with a presentation). She was born on July 20, 1931 in the Leonenki farm, Velizh district, Smolensk region.

Since childhood, she dreamed of heaven. In 1951, her dream came true; she graduated from an aviation technical school in Novosibirsk, then from the DOSAAF technical school in Saransk. After that there was a Moscow branch of the Kyiv Aviation Institute. But this was not enough for her - she conquered the Leningrad Academy of Civil Aviation. The most amazing thing is that she, a candidate of technical sciences, is engaged not only in technology, but also in creativity, studying at the State Institute of Theater Arts.

Student 4. If you consider her professional activities, you think: what this woman does is more than enough for five people.

In 1964 she became a test pilot. She was the commander of the An-12 ship. She was the first woman to break the sound barrier on a MiG-21 jet fighter, for which she received the nickname “Madame MiG” in foreign media. In the summer of 1965, using an RV aircraft with two turbojet engines, she set a world speed record for aircraft of this class, covering a closed 2000-kilometer route with an average speed of 737.28 km/h.

On September 20, 1967, she exceeded the world record of the American Jacqueline Cochran, flying on an RV plane along the route Volgograd - Moscow - Astrakhan - Volgograd 2510 km, by 344 km. She set 10 world records as the commander of the giant airship Antey (An-22). In the last record flight, the crew she led covered a distance of 1000 km at a speed exceeding 600 km/h, with a load of 50 tons.

Until 1978, she served as a military test pilot at an aviation research institute in the city of Vladimir, Astrakhan region.

Student 1. Just imagine her track record!

For five years she was an athlete pilot in DOSAAF, worked as an instructor at the Central Aero Club named after. V.P. Chkalova.

Since 1979, she worked for five years as a leading test pilot for General Designer Antonov at his Design Bureau in Kyiv.

Student 2. Marina Lavrentievna's military rank is engineer-colonel of the Air Force, lieutenant general of the Cossack troops. Marina Lavrentievna is an experienced test pilot. She took part in the first selection of female cosmonaut candidates. She underwent an inpatient medical examination as part of the second group of nine people in February-March 1962. She is a 1st class test pilot, the author of 101 world records on various types of aircraft, the total flight time is more than 6 thousand hours on 40 types of aircraft, honored Master of Sports of the USSR.

A star in the constellation Cancer is named after her.

Marina Lavrentievna is interested in studying UFOs and dreams of building airships.

Classroom teacher. One fate... How many interesting things we have now learned! You listen and don’t believe that this is a story about one woman! It’s hard to even imagine that a woman can reach such heights in an absolutely male profession.

The second group comes out and opens the portrait on the board.

Student 1. And we want to talk about a woman who is a representative of the Muslim world and lives in the East. It is generally accepted that the destiny of Eastern women is only home and family. UAE Minister of Economy Sheikha Lubna bint Khaled Al Qasimi completely refutes this opinion.

Student 2. UAE Minister of Economy Sheikha Lubna bint Khaled Al Qasimi was included in the list of the 100 most powerful women in the world compiled by the American Forbes magazine.

Among the merits of the first woman of the United Arab Emirates, who was entrusted with the portfolio of minister in 2004, the magazine notes ensuring transparency in the management of the national economy, negotiating skills, clear planning of trade relations, and increasing the country's authority.

Student 3. Sheikha Lubna is one of the top hundred outstanding women in the world along with three other prominent representatives of Arab countries. Among them are Queen Rania of Jordan, the wife of the Qatari emir Sheikh Mouzah Al-Misned and the chairman of the Kuwaiti Global Investment Fund Maha Al-Ghuneim.

Student 4. Sheikha Lubna belongs to the ancient ruling dynasty of the Emirate of Sharjah. She studied in the USA and was the first representative of this country to study abroad. She studied computer technology in the States and became a programmer. Upon returning to the country from California in 1981, the current minister worked in her specialty at the seaport of Dubai and, as recognized by the local press, made a great contribution to improving its work.

Student 1. By the time information technology became widespread, the first UAE programmer was already a well-known specialist, had her own company and intended to engage in scientific work.

Student 2. Having become, at just over 40 years old, the first female member of the government of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikha Lubna broke the shackles of medieval traditions and became an example of female success in a male society in the East.

Student Z. During her tenure at the ministry, amid favorable global conditions, annual per capita income in the UAE grew by more than 15%, exceeding $28,000 in 2005.

Student 4. Many women in the East followed her example. Today, young women in Arab countries are fighting for rights in the same way that women in Europe once fought for their rights.

The next group of students leaves.

Student 1. Our portrait gallery of women who fought for their rights and for the rights of their people would be incomplete if we did not talk about the Russian princess Olga.

Student 2. Some may say that Princess Olga has little to do with International Women's Day, but we disagree. The strength and power of women like Princess Olga contributed to the fact that women at all times fought for their rights and thereby influenced the women's movement.

Student 3. There are several beautiful female names in the history of Russia. One of them is Grand Duchess Olga, whom chroniclers called cunning, considered a saint by the church, and considered wise by historians.

Scientists have still not come to a consensus about the origin of the princess. All that is known for sure is that she was a native of the places where ancient Pskov is now located. According to legend, this city arose at the request of Olga. She allegedly loved to ride a horse along the shores of lakes or walk on a boat along the clean, wide Velikaya River. During one of her walks, she stopped on the shore and looked around. Clouds rushed across the sky, covering the sun. Suddenly, light poured out from behind the clouds, illuminating with wondrous rays the stone cape that rose at the confluence of the Velikaya and Pskova rivers. Admiring the beauty of her native nature, the princess said: “Here will be the Church of the Holy Trinity and the city is great, glorious and in all abundance...”

Student 4. Olga's name indicates that most likely she was born into a Varangian family. The chronicle preserves information that she was a beautiful girl, so Prince Igor, who inherited the Kiev throne after the death of Prince Oleg, married her after the first meeting. From that time on she became Princess Olga. Soon their only son, Svyatoslav, was born. Olga probably saw little of her husband, who was constantly on campaigns, waging endless wars and collecting tribute from the tribes under his control. During the collection of Polyudya from the Drevlyan tribe in 945, Prince Igor was killed. Olga had no choice but to take over after her husband, since the heir was still too young.

Student 1. From the Tale of Bygone Years we know that Olga took revenge on the Drevlyans for the murder of her husband. First, she cunningly lured the Drevlyan ambassadors into a trap and destroyed them. Then she went with her army to fight the Drevlyans, burned their settlements and imposed a heavy tribute. Then the Drevlyan capital, the city of Iskorosten, was burned.

After the conquest of the Drevlyans, Olga began to strengthen the princely power. She established the amounts of tribute and rent, indicated the places of their collection, and to this day echoes of her name have been preserved in the names of villages and graveyards. So, on the Dnieper there is the village of Olzhichi, and in the North there is the Olgin churchyard.

Student 2. It should be noted that the time of her reign was characterized by a calm, measured life. In any case, in the chronicles there are no mentions of victorious campaigns and bloody battles that took place at that time. A short period of “silence and pacification” was established in Rus', as Russian historian N.M. wrote. Karamzin.

Student 3. But this did not mean that the ruler was not interested in foreign policy affairs. Like Oleg, she sought to increase the prestige of Rus', although she achieved her goal not by military, but by peaceful means. In order to strengthen contacts with other states, in particular with Byzantium, Princess Olga decided to be baptized. This was a very important and wise step. Baptism not only made Olga equal to the rulers of other countries, but also allowed her to occupy a special position. After all, she was baptized in Byzantium, and the emperor himself became her godfather.

Student 4. After returning from Constantinople, she retired from government affairs, transferring power to her son Svyatoslav. She devoted the last years of her life to promoting Christianity; under her leadership, several churches were built at that time. Therefore, after her death, Olga became the first Russian woman to be canonized. The Orthodox Church also recognized Princess Olga as Equal to the Apostles, which is a worthy assessment of her activities.

The next group of students comes out with a portrait of M.A. Andreeva.

Student 1. And we invite you again in our days. The woman we want to talk about is a professor, Doctor of Geographical Sciences, academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences.

She lives in Chelyabinsk, but her achievements are known to the world. This is Maria Andreevna Andreeva.

Student 2. Since 1958, she has headed the department of physical geography at the Chelyabinsk State Pedagogical Institute. During all the years of work at the institute, he conducts scientific research on the problems of the hydrometeorological regime of the Urals. The relevance of its work is determined by the great national economic importance of the water resources of the Urals, especially the Trans-Ural region, which experiences a large deficit of fresh water.

Student 3. She defended her PhD thesis on the topic “Physico-geographical features of the lakes of the Southern Urals and their economic use.” Further scientific work was aimed at studying long-term fluctuations in the hydrological regime of lakes and the meteorological factors that determine them.

In 2000, Maria Andreeva was included in the list of one hundred outstanding women in the world. Her name is included in the international directory "Who's Who". This decision was made by the international council of the Biographical Institute of America. Honored Scientist, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Honorary Member of the Geographical Society of Russia, Maria Andreeva was awarded this for her great contribution to science. She is the author of about 180 scientific works, including books, textbooks and articles on the physical geography, hydrology and ecology of the Urals.

Student 4. In the new school year, Chelyabinsk schoolchildren were able to study the geography of their region using a new textbook. Its author is the world-famous geographer Maria Andreeva - the woman who revealed the geography of the Urals to the world.

Classroom teacher. We could continue to talk about outstanding women of Russia and the world. However, I am now announcing a Who's Who quiz dedicated to the women you can't help but remember on International Women's Day. They lived and live on different continents. They are strong, smart, talented, persistent, their contribution to the development of science and culture is enormous.

Quiz dedicated to women

1. She brilliantly won the elections. As Chancellor, she has topped the list of the hundred most influential women in the world for ten years in a row. (Angela Merkel, Chancellor of Germany.)

2. She occupies a special place among the companions of great people: to her alone two world geniuses dedicated their art and themselves without reserve, proudly declaring for many years: “Gala is my only muse, my genius and my life.” Admitting: “Without her, I am nothing,” neither Paul Eluard nor Salvador Dali were lying: numerous evidence leaves no doubt - if she had not been around, the world would have been left without their masterpieces. (Gala, or Elena Dmitrievna Dyakonova.)

3. For a long time she worked in the Russian Government, being a Deputy Prime Minister. Soon she won the elections and became the governor of one of the most important cities in Russia. Heading the government of this city, she does everything possible to preserve its glory and greatness, founded by Peter the Great. (Governor of St. Petersburg Valentina Matvienko.)

4. She is famous for being the world's first female astronaut. She began her working life in the city of Yaroslavl. From an ordinary weaver to an astronaut, the road is not easy, but she passed it with honor. (Valentina Tereshkova.)

5. Few people know that Russian scientists made the greatest contribution to the fight against herpes viral infections. And first of all, the fight against this virus is associated with the name of the famous woman who invented one of the best drugs for the treatment of herpes - acyclovir. (Gertrude Elion.)

6. This woman made a huge contribution to the development of the democratic traditions of Pakistan. However, her fame in politics and her ability to reach every person in resolving political issues aroused the hatred of opposition circles in Pakistan. Several years ago she was killed. (Former Pakistani President Benazir Bhutto.)

7. Humanity should be grateful to this woman for the discovery of DNA. Half a century ago, in the spring of 1953, hundreds of thousands of people were excited by a series of articles in the journal Natura, which described the discovery of the structure of DNA, the substance of heredity. (Rosalind Franklin.)

8. The amazing life of this woman, marked either by luxury or poverty, was full of violent passions and terrible tragedies. She was respected for her skill and talent. She was envied for the love of the public, her independence of behavior, and the patronage of the powers that be. And her romance with Sergei Yesenin, closeness to Yesenin’s circle and admiration for the revolution in Russia are remembered even more often than the bright creative life of the great barefoot dancer. (Isadora Duncan.)

9. People love and hate her, curse and envy her, admire her intelligence and cunning, seek friendship with her not only in her country, but also in other countries of the world. Her hairstyle has become the subject of discussion among politicians, journalists and... comedians, and her actions are unpredictable. (Yulia Tymoshenko is the former Prime Minister of Ukraine.)

10. A well-known journalist, a person who paid great attention to covering problems related to the lives of people in hot spots. She perceived other people's tragedy as her own. They were waiting for her articles, they were afraid of them, they hoped that after she told the truth in the newspaper, everything would change. Did not work out. She, a famous journalist, was killed meanly, on the sly. (Journalist Anna Politkovskaya.)

Classroom teacher. Our quiz can be endless. So many women on planet Earth have done so that humanity remembers the fair sex not only on International Women’s Day, so many glorious women’s names are inscribed in the history of the women’s movement on the planet. Students who have prepared a poem reading come out.

Student 1. Many poets and writers have glorified women in their works, but now, at a very opportune time, E. Asadov’s poem “Woman” will be heard, with which we want to finish the story about International Women’s Day.

In the mountains, on a rock, dreaming of dissipation,

Izmena sat there, thin and angry.

And Love sat next to me under the cherry tree,

Weaving dawn gold into braids.

Student 2.

In the morning, collecting fruits and roots,

They rested near mountain lakes

And they always had an endless argument -

One with a smile, and the other with contempt.

Student 3.

One said: “The world needs

Loyalty, decency and purity.

We must be bright and kind -

That’s the beauty!”

Student 4.

Another shouted: “Empty dreams!

Who will thank you for this?

Here, really, people's stomachs will burst from laughter.

Even brainless fish!”

Student 1.

One day they raised such a cry,

That the shaggy old man woke up in anger,

Great sorcerer, irritable grandfather,

Sleeping in a cave for three thousand years.

Student 2.

And the old man barked: “What kind of war is this?!”

I'll show you how to wake up a sorcerer!

So, to end all your strife,

I will fuse you together for all time!”

Student 3.

He grabbed Love with a witch's hand,

He grabbed Treason with his other hand

And he threw them into a jug, green as the sea,

And then there is both joy and sorrow,

And loyalty, and anger, kindness, and intoxication,

Both the pure truth and the vile deception.

Student 4.

As soon as he put the jug on the fire,

Smoke rose above the forest like a black tent,

Higher and higher, to the mountain peaks,

The old man looks at the jug with curiosity:

When everything is melted down and tortured, what the hell will happen? The jug is cooling down. The experiment is ready.

A crack ran along the bottom,

Then he fell into a hundred pieces,

And a Woman appeared.

Class progress

I. Opening remarks

Presenter 1. Dear (last name, first name, patronymic of the teacher), dear girls! Today, on the eve of March 8, we have prepared for you a festive issue of the oral magazine “Spring Mosaic”. Our correspondents tried very hard to make sure you don’t get bored today, learn something new, and don’t forget about the guys.

II. Oral journal “Spring Mosaic”

Presenter 1. Open the first page of our magazine. “In bird cages - in maidens’ chambers” - an editorial about the position of women in society. Prepared by our correspondent (name, surname).

In the bird's cages - in the maiden's chambers

Presenter 2. In the old days in Rus', women had a hard time. Special “towers” were built for them and hidden there from prying eyes. Everyone knows the proverb: “There are birds in the cages, there are maidens in the chambers.” Daughters were kept under strict conditions from an early age. They taught sewing and various household chores. They were not allowed to leave the yard without a guard, guided by the proverb: “Keep the money in the dark and the girl in close quarters.” Only on holidays were the poor girls allowed to have a little fun: ride on a swing, on a sleigh and on ice skates. The more noble the family, the more strict the upbringing. When marrying off a girl, her parents did not ask her consent. She herself did not know who she was marrying; she had not seen her fiancé before marriage. Having become a wife, she fell into complete submission to her husband; she could not even go anywhere without his permission. Russian beauties were not like modern beauties. According to the concepts of that time, the beauty of a woman consisted of thickness and corpulence. Thin and slender people were considered ugly and were ready to do anything to get better. Historian Kostomarov writes that elongated ears were considered an indispensable sign of female beauty; some beauties specifically stretched their ears. Well, the former beauties blushed and whitened no less than the current ones. Lipsticks, ointments, blush and whitewash were sold in kilograms.

Women constantly fought for their freedom and finally gained permission to stop galloping horses and enter burning huts. And in our time they are practically no different from men. They can lead the state, drive ships, planes, cars, dig trenches, mine coal, serve in the army and play football. And at the same time remain as gentle, mysterious and beautiful as 300 years ago, when they sat in towers like birds in cages.

Girls are different

Presenter 1. “Girls are different” - this is what our special correspondents called their research (names, surnames).

Presenter 3. So, girls are different: green, blue, red...

Presenter 1. Stop, stop, from here on in more detail, please. We are only interested in red girls.

Presenter 4. Everything is clear, modern red girls, the old red girls, are different: cheerful and sad

we, harmful and not so, active, sporty, positive and progressive.

Presenter 3. Researchers unite them into 4 large groups, or types, or classes: a) cramming, b) cool girls, c) princesses and d) freaks.

Presenter 4. Let's consider the features of each type.

Presenter 3. Crammers, they are nerds. They don’t put on makeup, they always do all their homework, and by the 9th grade they can not only write, but also read. Without wasting any time, you need to make friends with such people - perhaps tomorrow, when they become stars, you will have to tell journalists that you studied in the same class with them.

Presenter 4. Cool girls. Everything is pierced and tattooed, nails are the most radical colors. They sneeze on everyone to awesome music. They even sleep with headphones on.

Presenter 3. Princesses or doll girls. They like to wear different hairpins, trinkets and other rubbish. They love everything pink and fluffy.

Presenter 4. They're crazy, they're boys. These girls sit only on the last desk. They consider themselves the coolest! They frantically chew gum, deliciously blowing bubbles and laughing predatorily when the bubble bursts and the teacher flinches from the pop. You need to be careful with them: even a compass in their hands can become a bladed weapon.

Presenter 3. Having sorted out these types, we discovered that none of them suited our girls. Therefore, we made a scientific discovery - we discovered a new type of girls - cool girls, the most beautiful. This type predominates in our class.

Presenter 4. These girls are beautiful, friendly, neat, polite, sociable, cultured, intelligent and quick-witted.

Reception at 9-A

Presenter 1. We received a statement from one red girl who asks to be accepted into our class. We offer you a video report from the admissions committee.

(3 boys sit at the teacher’s table, one of them puts a sign on the table “Admission to 9-A is announced.” A “girl” (a boy in disguise) approaches the table.)

Presenter 5. Why did you decide that you need to study in our class?

Girl. Because I am a cool girl.

Presenter 6. But we have not just cool, but also beautiful girls.

Girl. Are you dry? My appearance speaks for itself (takes the pose of a model on the catwalk)! Absolute waste!

Presenter 7. But our girls are cultured, polite...

Girl. Yes, I can barely restrain myself so that the whole culture doesn’t crawl out of me. As for politeness, I know three polite words: “goblin”, “nerd” and “sucker”. I use them instead of the word “fool”.

Presenter 6. They say you need to look at what a girl has in her purse, and you will find out whether she has this quality or not.

Girl. Yes, how much this neatness I can fit! Get hurt!

(Shakes out the contents of the bag on the table, there is a puck, a sneaker, a sock, lipstick, a comb, a mirror, a pack of cigarettes, etc.)

Presenter 7. Yes, there is a whole lot of neatness here, but what about your intelligence and intelligence?

Girl. Well, this is where I'm having trouble. As soon as I have to think, especially on a test, I feel sick and depressed.

Presenter 5. What about intelligence?

Girl. This is where thinking comes in handy. He always tells me how to move out so as not to think.

Presenter 6. Well, what does she tell you?

Girl. That in this world you can always find someone to copy from.

Presenter 7. Ah, well then you don’t meet our requirements at all. All our girls are smart and reasonable. And if we accept people like you, we ourselves will have no one to copy from.

Girl. Total bummer!

Presenter 5. Don't be upset...

Girl. Just think, I don't give a damn! Ciao, bambino (blows a kiss, runs to the door)\

Presenter 1. Wait, stay for another 5 minutes. We're just going to have an intellectual game now. And you will see how smart and quick-witted our girls are. Any question is answered instantly, without hesitation. And they also give us hints. The game will be played by (names and surnames).

Girl. Okay, let's talk. (Sits at the teacher's table.)

Questions and Answers Game

Presenter 8. Now we will play the game “Questions and Answers”. And the girls will show how smart and reasonable they are.

Presenter 9. Considering their excitement and festive mood, we have prepared tips for them.

(The boys give the girls pieces of paper with answers to the questions.)

Presenter 8. We will ask each girl a question, and she should read the answer to it in the cheat sheet that she received. Presenter 9. Attention, questions:

(The presenters take turns asking questions, the girls answer by reading the answers on pieces of paper.)

Virtual postcard (if a slide film is made)

Presenter 1. And now a virtual musical break. A gift from the boys in our class. Slide film “Spring Mood” - author, director and sound engineer (name, surname).

(The slide movie is shown on the computer.)

Presenter 1. Well, now the last page of our magazine is a greeting card.

(Music sounds. All the boys line up at the blackboard.)

Presenter 10. Dear (name, patronymic of the teacher), dear girls, we sincerely congratulate you on the spring holiday, on March 8th.

Presenter 11. Among the first days of spring, March 8th is the most expensive. After all, everyone on earth knows: spring and women are alike!

Presenter 13. We would like to congratulate all of you, so wonderful, on the holiday of spring. We need both the light of the sun and your clear gaze equally!

Poem

Our mommy

Who do we meet first?
Coming into the world, -
So this is our mommy
She's no cuter.
All life revolves around her,
Our whole world is warmed by it,
She's been trying all her life
Keep us out of harm's way.
She is the support in the house,
It's busy every hour.
And there is no one else but
Who would love us so much.
So more happiness for her,
And life is longer,
And joy is her lot,
And less sad things to do!

A ray of sunshine and spring?

And the snowdrops in the forest?

Here one woman says to another: “My son is dexterous and strong, no one can handle him.” -And mine sings like a nightingale. “No one has such a voice,” says another. And the third is silent. -Why don’t you tell me about your son? - her neighbors ask. -What can I say? - says the woman. - There is nothing special about him. So the women picked up full buckets and left. And the old man is behind them. Women walk and stop. My hands hurt, the water splashes, my back hurts. Suddenly three boys run out towards us. One of them somersaults over his head, walks like a cartwheel, and the women admire him. He sings another song, sings like a nightingale - the women listen to him. The holiday was first celebrated in 1911 in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Denmark on March 19 under the slogan: “Suffrage for workers to unite forces in the fight for socialism.”

In Russia, International Women's Day was first celebrated in 1913 in St. Petersburg. Its organizers called for achieving economic and political equality for women. One of the most powerful performances by women took place in Petrograd on March 7, 1917.

In 1976, International Women's Day was officially recognized by the UN.

Today March 8 is a holiday of spring and light, a tribute to women.
